			      Day 9
------------------------------------------------------------------

When I woke up, I found myself in Aditi's arms.
Ugh! What was she doing here?
I watched her sleep peacefully.
I wondered where the others were. The spaceship has become busy
with the entire crew on it's feet. And I was now dreading to go outside.
Too many people made me nervous.

I leaned over her and whispered, "Aditi?"
Her eyes opened almost instantaneously. I jumped back and she
pulled me in. "Watch your head," she said softly, as she got up.

------------------------------------------------------------------

"I couldn't let the others sleep with you, so I took charge," Aditi said
nonchalantly, as she tied her hair into a bun.
"What's wrong with the others?" I asked curiously.
"Nothing. You're incompatible."
"Incompatible?" I repeated.
"Do you know what incompatible means?" she asked, turning around.
"Yes. But how do you know that?"
"Know what?"
"That we're incompatible."
"Everyone took standard tests. The six of us took extensive tests, just
to make sure," she said.

"I just don't understand why you're doing all this," I said, shaking my
head.
"You're getting a new team," she said.
"I don't want no new team! I want my old team! I want Kriti! I want
Adah! I want Trisha-"
Knock Knock Knock!

------------------------------------------------------------------

Priyanka stood at the door. She flashed us a bright smile. "Hey guys!
Am I interrupting?"
"Ye-"
"No!" Aditi cut me off.
I glared at her.
"Hi! I'm Priyanka," Priyanka said as she held out her hand.
"Krsnah," I replied, shaking her hand.

------------------------------------------------------------------

The mood at the breakfast table was sombre, mainly because I had
a permanent frown on my face, and the slightest provocation would've
made me snap.

After breakfast, Kriti called me aside.

"Baby, you're getting a new team," Kriti said softly, holding my hands.
"Why?"
"They're going to train you and get you ready for Mars," she replied.
"Why are you leaving me?" My voice broke as tears flooded my eyes.
"Baby don't!" She pulled me into her arms and hugged me tightly. "I'm
not leaving you baby. I'll always be here with you, okay?"
"I don't want no new team!" I whimpered in frustration.
"It's okay. They're going to take good care of you," she replied, gently
rubbing my back.

"Krsnah."
Trisha showed up, followed closely by Adah and Selena.
They hugged me and consoled me.
"I'm going to miss you," I told them.
"Ugh! Don't be dramatical! We're not dying!"" Adah quipped.
"We're not going anywhere. We just won't be able to spend as much
time with you," Trisha said.

------------------------------------------------------------------

The tests had 36 points.
Adah had scored 9 points, Trisha and Kriti 17 each and Selena 20.
According to Aditi, if they stayed with me, there would be problems
due to our differences.

------------------------------------------------------------------

"Krsnah, you'll do a fitness test today, followed by a personality test,"
Aditi said, "When you get your results, you'll be introduced to your new
teams."
"Teams?!"
"Yes, teams."
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh! Come oooooooooooooonnnnn!"

------------------------------------------------------------------

Nobody helped me in the gym. They all stood around, watching.
Aditi barked instructions, urging me to push harder. They were going
to test my endurance limits.
I was soaked in sweat.

------------------------------------------------------------------

"You did well today!"
"What the fuuu-" I grabbed my towel and wrapped it around my torso.
Priyanka closed the washroom door behind her.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? GET OUT!" I said angrily.
"Oh relax! You've got nothing that I haven't seen before. Besides, if
we're going to work together, you'll have to get used to this," she said,
walking around me.
"We're not working together!" I hissed.
"Okay," she said, smiling, then washed her face.
